La Théorie des Volcans – Bio Cellulose 100% Biodegradable Pumpling Moisturising Lips Patch

Rating: 5/10

I was very excited when I received this product, because I had never tried a lip mask before and it looked really fun. I was especially happy because this product is cruelty-free, vegan, 100% biodegradable and it doesn’t contain nasty chemicals.

With sheet masks, I think it’s particularly important for them to be biodegradable, because you only use it once and then throw it away. This is not exactly an environmentally friendly use of a product, so that was definitely a nice touch with this mask.

As for the sheet mask itself, I wasn’t really crazy about it. For starters, I thought it was way too large! It covered half of my face and I have a pretty big face. And because of its size, the mask was also quite heavy, so it kept slipping down. After a while, it got kind of annoying, so I had to keep my head horizontal for 15 minutes.

The result was not bad however, I did see and feel an improvement. As you can see in the pictures below, my lips were pretty dry and dull at first; and afterwards they looked healthier and were much more moisturised. And the result is what counts the most, of course.

In conclusion, the mask wasn’t as fun as I thought it would have been, but the result was still pretty nice. I’m not sure if I would use it again however. I have a lip scrub that is much nicer to use and the result is more prominent.

Still, it is an interesting product and I think it’s worth trying out at least once. My personal experience wasn’t that great, but you might like it. I would suggest using it lying down. 😉

Thanks for reading and until the next post!
