benecos – Natural CC Concealer

Rating: 7/10

I have seen so many YouTubers and Instagramers using colour correcting, so naturally I got curious and just had to try it myself. Now according to some professional make-up artists, it’s a very handy item, if you have visible skin discolouration. Otherwise, it’s really unnecessary and only adds another layer of make-up to your face, which can make it look cakey.

If you do decide to use it, make sure you apply a very thin layer on the correct spots, because that’s all you really need and it will give you a nice, even complexion without looking like you’re wearing a bucket of make-up.

20180608_171045Now, the product that I used is the Natural CC Concealer by benecos. I was especially excited about the green colour, because I have pretty visible red spots on my cheeks. The beige shade hid well the dark circles under my eyes and the purple just made me, generally, look more fresh. As for the pink colour, I can’t really say a lot about it, because I don’t have many dark spots. So if you have some experience with it, I’d love to hear about it. Overall, I definitely looked more fresh and rested, and my skin looked brighter. So if you don’t have a naturally even complexion, this lovely palette might offer a solution.

I wouldn’t recommend this concealer to people with dry skin though, because it’s highly mattifying, so it would only make your skin drier. But if you have oily skin, it’s perfect, because it prevents your face from looking shiny and greasy. That being said, I do wish that the consistency was a little creamier and not so hard and dry, because it makes the application less smooth. For example, to make it more blendable I had to use a damp make-up sponge.

Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good concealer. I have combination skin with some red spots and dark under eye circles, so for me it was quite suitable. I also love the fact that this product is not only organic and vegan, but also BDIH certified.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks so much for visiting!
