So, up until now I have only talked about organic cosmetics that I love. Unfortunately, not all of these products are as good as I wish them to be and I think it’s important to share negative experiences as well. My new eye make-up primer by puroBIO Cosmetics, for example, was quite a disappointment. Which was a little unexpected, because the reviews I read about this product were generally really good.
The biggest problem I had with this primer is that it didn’t stop my make-up from creasing, which is exactly what a decent primer should do. I took the picture you see here just a few hours after I did my make-up and you can clearly see where my eyeshadow starts forming lines. You can imagine how bad it looked by the end of the day. And this is a product that is supposed to make your eye make-up long-lasting. I even tried to put some baked foundation on top of the primer, but that too was useless.
It could be that my eyelids are simply too oily for this kind of product. The primer has a very fluid and creamy texture, and although the description claims otherwise, it’s not really drying. That’s the second thing I didn’t like about this product. I prefer eye make-up primers that have a very mattifying effect, because these really keep your eyeshadow in place for the whole day. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear about it.
Of course there are also some good things about this primer. For instance, it has an orange undertone which helps to conceal dark circles. It’s quite pigmented though, so if you have very light skin, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Another thing I really like about this primer is that it’s organic and not harmful to the environment. It’s nickel tested, the ingredients are natural, and the primer is NATRUE, VEGANOK and CCPB certified.
All great things, so I was pretty disappointed about the poor product quality. This was my personal experience, of course. So it’s quite possible that the primer would be perfectly suitable for people with dry skin. If you ever tried it, let me know in the comment section.
Hope the review was helpful. Thanks for reading and have an awesome day!
