Lavera – Clarifying Facial Toner

I may have mentioned in an earlier post how much I love facial toners, and this one is definitely not an exception. In fact, this Clarifying Toner is one of the better ones I’ve tried so far. I especially love its cleansing quality.

I have combination skin and my T-zone can get quite oily in the course of the day. So before I apply a serum and a moisturiser, I need to make sure that my skin is really purified. This toner does exactly that. Even when I had just washed my face, I could still see some residue of impurities on the cotton pad. Don’t ask me how that’s possible, because I really do wash my face thoroughly. :p

One of the reasons why this toner is such a great cleanser is because it was made with micellar technology. A micelle is a particle which consists of a head and a tail. Simply explained, the head loves water and the tail loves oil. So, when the micelles come into contact with your skin, dirt and oil get sucked into the head via the tail, et voilΓ  your skin is clean. This basically means that you can wash your face without using any water. Amazing, isn’t it?

Furthermore, this toner contains organic grape extract, organic peppermint water and ginkgo leaf extract, which is a potent antioxidant. And it is a NaTrue* and UK Vegan Society certified product. So if you’re looking for a facial toner, this is definitely one you should try.
